Kenneth Cole’s Olivia Wedge earned a spot-on Glam Magazine’s comfiest sandal edit. The Olivia is an espadrille high wedge sandal. Espadrilles were first created in Spain out of two pieces of canvas, one covering the toe and the other the heel. They were worn by clergymen in farming communities with the intention of wearing them all day. The original form of espadrille’s were comfy, sturdy and durable.
Fast forward to today, most espadrilles are not like their original form. Most are uncomfortable and not sturdy. However, the Olvia brings back the espadrille’s true characteristics. The Olivia features a “buttery suede upper”, raffia covered wedge and sky-high platform that is like walking on a cloud. On Amazon, Olivia has received more than 1200 4.5-star reviews!
